Positive Thinking

PMA

Positive Mental Attitude…does it really work. The answer is yes, but you have to constantly be aware of your thoughts and stop yourself from thinking negative thoughts.

This can be challenging if you are in a particularly negative space. What I find helps…as cheesy as it sounds…is to read positive affirmations.

A couple of years ago before I met my husband, I was ready to resign myself to the fact that I am going to end up a lonely cat lady. I read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne years ago and one thing I remember from the book was to make a list of all the attributes you want your future partner to have. So I did…a whole 32 of them. I told my friends about the list and they laughed. Not long after, I met my husband and he ticked 30 out of the 32 boxes.

Even after that, seeing the Law of Attraction in motion, you still forget and sometimes things happen in your life and its not quite how you wanted it. There are two reasons for that I believe…1) you had negative thoughts 2) the universe was forcing you into a different direction.

Recently I have decided that my current job is no longer the right fit for me, I realised that I was not thinking positively and I think the universe was pushing me to find something better, something I can be passionate about doing and not doing something to earn a pay cheque.

I have started to read Pam Grout’s E-Squared a couple of times and I was always amazed at the outcomes of the experiments, but I get to around experiment 4 and then life happens and I forget and lose track.

What I want to do over the next couple of week is complete that book from start to finish. Not only does it show you the universe is working for you and you have all the power to attract whatever you want into your life, but it also teaches you how to make it work for you.

I will post every experiment here and also the outcomes of it. Currently my main goal is to find my dream job, one I absolutely love and can excel at, but one that is also flexible enough to allow me to be around for my 2 year old son.

I think another huge reason we fail to get what we want sometimes, is the fact that we get so hung up on the how. The Law of Attraction teaches us that the how is not important, the universe takes care of that. So I am trying my best to focus on my dream job, close to where I live, with lots of flexibility and decent pay. I will leave it to the Universe to sort out the how.

Experiment 1 will start tomorrow…
