I have read a lot of books on the Law of Attraction and one simple message comes across in all of them, say thank you for what you have. I first started reading books on the Law of Attraction ten years ago. Sadly, only very recently did that message sink in. It happened when I started writing my blog doing the experiments in one of the books I was reading. Someone commented and talked about gratitude. I was going through a tough time and it seemed like the whole world was against me. I decided whilst I had nothing to lose, I was going to try this gratitude thing…I am amazed!
About two months ago I thought life couldn’t get much worse for me. I tried manifesting several things into my life and I could not. That made me feel even more useless. So what I did was started to say thank you for what I had. I bought a notebook and that was to be my Gratitude Journal. As a mom to a 2 and a half year old, I don’t get an awful lot of “me-time”, so I don’t get to write in this journal as often as I’d like. Regardless of that, every day, whenever I have some “me-time”, whether it is when I am having a shower, driving somewhere, just before I fall asleep, whenever that moment might be when I am alone for my thoughts, I say thank you.
In these two months I have secured a great new job that I love, my relationship with my husband has gotten even better and I am not revolted when I look at my body any longer. I feel happy, confident and content. Who wouldn’t like to not work and have millions in the bank and live in a beautiful house, but that does not mean that if you do not have that you cannot be happy.
Try it, whenever you have a quiet moment, say thank you. Whilst I drive to work I say thank you for my job, thank you for my car, thank you for my lovely little family, thank you that I am healthy, thank you for the beautiful sunshine, thank you that I had food to eat for breakfast. It is amazing what a difference it makes. I have even found my journey into work has become a lot smoother, traffic does not seem so bad. Even strangers I encounter are nice, friendly. It is truly mind blowing.
As part of saying thank you, say why you are thankful for that particular thing, then you feel it even more. I promise you, even after a day or two you will notice a difference. It honestly feels like you are viewing the world in HD for the first time.
You will still get moments when for example someone cuts you off in traffic or something happens that really annoys you and would normally ruin your entire day. When I feel that emotion coming on, I find things to be grateful for and the negative feelings do not stick around for long.
I can honestly say, my life has been changed! Never to be the same again. I almost feel like I have a super power, how amazing is that. I dare you, give it a go!
Before I focused so much on what I want and I would get disappointed in what I do not have, I find that does not even feature anymore. The more you are grateful for what you have, the more amazing things happen! You will never run out of things to be grateful for, that’s a promise!
